St. Paul's Youth Group for All is the place to be on Wednesday afternoon and evenings in Selinsgrove! We are an open and accepting group available to all children and youths from first through eighth grades. Our mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all to grow spiritually while having their bodies, minds, and souls fed by God and The Youth Ministry Team.
We meet from 4:30 - 6:30 pm every Wednesday that school is in session. The doors open at 3:30 pm for homework assistance and snacks, then at 4:30 pm we head to the sanctuary for devotions! After devotions, we spend about an hour doing crafts, creating artwork, or helping others, depending on our plans for the day. If it's nice outside, we may go next door to the Moose playground, or play Four Square in our parking lot! We also enjoy occasional trips to Best Bowl bowling alley and Sunset Skating Rink, which are paid for by St. Paul's, and free for the youth to attend! We also enjoy making decorations for (and throwing candy from!) our float in the annual Selinsgrove Halloween and Christmas parades!
We also try to teach the youth the importance of helping others and giving back to the community. Our service projects include assisting at Martha's Table at All Saints Episcopal Church, making meals for The Ronald McDonald House and House of Care at Geisinger, doing chores and collecting donations for Haven Ministry and walking dogs for Mostly Mutts! We also enjoy cleaning up the local playgrounds, and a piece of art created by the group can be seen displayed at the East Snyder Park, while more artwork and numerous bird houses we built can be seen at Kidsgrove! We also decorate a tree for the Library's Tree Festival of Books each year, and we make and deliver ornaments and carol for homebound community members.
At 6:00 pm, the youth and voluteers come together to share a meal and relax. Youth group concludes at 6:30 pm.
You do not need to be a member of St. Paul's to attend our youth group, so you can join us, and bring a friend or two! We also understand that children these days are very busy, and are often involved in multiple activities, so we offer a flexible program, that allows you to come when you can. You don't need to be able to attend every week!
We also need adult volunteers to cook, clean up, or help supervise the youths during group times. If you would be interested in helping out in any way, we would love to have you! If you do not already have your clearances to volunteer with children, don't worry, we can help! Click here to apply for your PA State Child Abuse Clearance, and click here for your Criminal Background check. If at any time in the past 10 years you lived outside of PA, you will also need to click here for your FBI fingerprint clearance. If you do already have current clearances, simply bring a copy in for us, and you're ready to go!
So please, join us this fall on Wednesday afternoons, to make friends, help others, and have fun! We hope to see you there!! :)

St. Paul's Teen Youth Group
For our teens and pre-teens in 7th grade through 18 years old, we have our St. Paul's Teen Group! This smaller, more mature group meets weekly as well, to make crafts and perform service projects the younger youth aren't quite ready for. We will start back up in September!
At St. Paul's teen group, we strive to experience the Living God in everything we do and in each other. Respect for self and others, and being the branches of Jesus' vine guide our weekly meetings and how we live in the world. At our teen group meetings, we offer a safe, non-judgmental place, where teens can feel free to come and talk, express themselves, or simply hang out with their friends!
We would love for you to come and join us, and you can follow us on Facebook, at Teen Group of St. Paul's UCC, Selinsgrove!
