Fall Bible Study

  • St. Paul’s United Church of Christ 400 North Market Street Selinsgrove, PA, 17870 United States (map)

Everyone is welcome to join us in exploring familiar Bible stories through the unique lens of the recently published First Nations Version. The FNV is a dynamic equivalence translation that captures the simplicity, clarity, and beauty of Native storytellers in English, while remaining faithful to the original language of the New Testament. We will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15 – 10:15 to deepen our understanding of the most well-known elements of the New Testament. During this 10-week study that starts on Kick-Off Sunday (September 10th), we will start with the Lord’s Prayer, and then continue with The Good Samaritan, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, and others using a curious and comparative approach to the First Nations Version. Each week will stand-alone in its approach, so people can come to one or all, or any in-between. Reach out to Shane (through the church office) with questions and/or access to the Zoom link.
