Which Adult Sunday School Class May Be for You? Two Sunday school classes for adults will begin meeting on Sundays at 9:15 am.
The Mixed Adult Sunday School Class which Richard Wagner used to teach will be meeting in the Council Room on Sundays at 9:15 am. The members of this class share a special bond. They are deeply rooted in their faith. They focus on a traditional understanding of our faith. This group of faithful members welcome new people who want to grow in faith and explore our faith’s foundation based on a traditional interpretation of the Bible. Robert “Bob” Engel will teach and facilitate this group for a ten week study on Jesus’ parables beginning with October 7. All participants are welcome to share in the conversation. For more information you may contact Vivian Beaver at (570) 374-1458.
The Culture and Christianity Sunday School Class will meet in the Meeting Room (across from the coat room) on Sundays at 9:15 am. This class will be facilitated by Raven Rudnitsky and Lois Bruno and uses a “Jesus Redux” DVD curriculum which invites participants to question the traditional understanding of our faith. After viewing a 10-15 minute video segment, the group engages in lively conversations on a new progressive Christian approach to understand Jesus, his ministry, and the purpose of the church. Similar to the Mixed Adult Sunday School Class, this group welcomes any curious persons who want to grow in faith. For more information you may contact Raven Rudnitsky at firstname.lastname@example.org or (570) 374-1216 or Lois Bruno at email@example.com or (570) 374-2544.
